A big band adventure from half a century ago. The outstanding quartet with Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski and Wojciech Karolak in unknown radio sessions.

A legendary quartet active in the 60s, made up of the leading Polish jazz musicians: Andrzej Dąbrowski, Roman Dyląg (or Juliusz Sandecki), Wojciech Karolak and Jan Ptaszyn-Wróblewski, left behind it only one album in the Polish Jazz series. It recorded more, however, and the sessions recorded in the years 1964-66, with an extended, big band line-up, appear on this album after a half-century wait. This is superb, swinging jazz of the highest calibre! The varied, brilliant compositions of Ptaszyn-Wróblewski and Karolak, as well as a few surprising interpretations of pre-war hits in a jazzy entourage. The quartet is accompanied by musicians of the radio’s Studio M-2 under the direction of Bogusław Klimczuk.

The material has been re-mastered from the original radio tapes.
